Hello! I'm Maria Mayes, Founder of Take 5, LLC, Meditation & Yoga Teacher, Well-Being Coach, Wine Educator & Enthusiast.
I am also a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and volunteer. I am sure you play just as many roles in your life.
With all those roles it's important to prioritize self-care!
For me, that includes scheduling time with good friends. I love a good girls night out but I find it's lost its luster as I age. Now I want a good girls night in, laughing, relaxing, restoring, and enjoying a nice glass of clean wine with friends.
So I've combined my wine industry experience with my training as a Chopra Well-Being Coach, Meditation & Yoga Teacher to create a unique experience for my friends and me.
Now, I'm offering that same experience to you!

WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS FOR THE EXPERIENCE?
You’ll receive a menu of options to choose from after booking. While they are subject to change, they currently include Gentle Yoga, Chakra Basics, Mantra Meditation, Breathwork Basics, or an Intro to Ayurveda Class.
WHAT IS A MINDFUL WINE TASTING?
The Take 5 Mindful Tasting Process is a 5-step process designed to heighten your senses and enjoyment of the wine and incorporates the 5 S's of Wine Tasting.
AM I GOING TO SWEAT?
No, not unless that is your preference and you'd like to opt for a vinyasa-style class. The yoga option is typically a Gentle Flow or Restorative & Yin postures but can be modified on request. Let's chat and we will create a custom class at the speed and level that meets the needs of you and your guests.
WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER DONE YOGA OR MEDITATION?
Great! All classes are designed for the beginner and it's about having fun and relaxing. No stressing on girl's night!
WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED?
I've trained under Deepak Chopra and his team at Chopra Global to become a Certified Meditation Teacher, Ayurveda/Health Teacher and am 1 of about 200 Chopra Certified Well-Being Coaches globally. I am also a Certified Breath Coach and have an E-RYT200 Yoga Teaching Credentials as well as 10 years educating in the Wine Industry. I also spent more than 20 years in the software industry and know first hand the juggling act working moms do each day.
WHAT IF NOT ALL OF MY FRIENDS DRINK WINE?
No problem the Mindful Tasting Lesson can be applied to anything we consume. Sparkling water with fresh fruit or tea are great alternatives to offer at your experience.
How it works
Step 1 - Book & Pick Options
After you book I'll be in touch to schedule the date of your event and get the particulars. I'll provide you with a menu of class options and learn more about your intention for girl's night as well as your pallet preferences for wine and charcuterie. The price includes a small Ayurvedic 6 -Tastes Pairing. If you are preparing food I can prepare a pairing.
I'll send you payment links for the wine or advise you on a selection from your existing cellar. Class payment can be done as a group or per person but must be completed prior to the event.
Step 2 - Invite FRIENDS
I'll send you a beautiful digital invitation you can send to guests based on the options you selected for the experience.
The wine will either be shipped to you or delivered by me the day of your event.
Step 3 - Girls Night!
You'll enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience connecting with your friends, relaxing the body and the mind, exploring the beautiful wine, and cultivating well-being.
Remember class will be designed around your needs so everyone feels safe in any movement or meditation practices.
The mindful consumption lesson is something you can leverage and benefit from every day forward.
You'll also enjoy waking up the next morning hangover free!
